The 4th race of the series took place at Preston Park, with two laps of the park totaling just over 5.2 km. A torrential rain shower just before the race made the course more like a cross county race than a trail race in places with some runners struggling with the wrong footwear. Rob Ray (pictured) tried, unsuccessfully, to stay incognito in his return to racing.
Mike Jefferies managed to hold off Rosie Smith to claim the race. Kath Aspin was 2nd lady beating Louise Trainor by 4 seconds.

The Tees Trail Races - Race 3

8 Harriers joined the 122 runners in the 3rd race of this popular summer series. The race started and finished near the Pinchinthorpe visitor centre. Timothy Hunter was the pick of the New Marske runners, probably being the youngest and over 55 years younger than the oldest competitor. Timothy came home in 47th in a time of 22:23. The next race in the series is at Preston Park on Thursday 23rd June.
The Tees Trail Races - Race 2

Shelli Gordon, warming up for the Hardmoors 110 in a couple of weeks, came an impressive second behind Scottish International Cross Country Runner Rosie Smith in the 2nd 5K Trail Race of the series at the Middlesbrough Cycle Track. An interesting course started and finished with a 1K circuit of the new Cycle Track with a run around a cricket match in the middle. Dave Aspin was the first New Marske man back in 17:53.
