"A road race for fell runners - a fell race for road runners!"  A good turn out of New Marske runners for this picturesque 10K over to Westerdale and back taking in Dibble Bridge & Hob Hole with 228m of ascent and decent. A heavy shower just before the race cooled the runners down, but it was still warm and the strong wind punished the runners in the first 3k.  The sun returned to make it a hard final 3k back to Castleton.  Tom Danby finished a good 2nd (35:42) with David Aspin 37th (45:20) next home just pipping his wife Kath 38th, 5th lady, (45:38) by 8 seconds.   The next four NMH came in after each other,  Bob Currie 43rd (46:14), John Pearse 44th (46:47), Roger Moore 45th (47:08) and Shelli Gordon 46th, 6th lady (47:20).    Nick O'Grady came home in 56th (49:29) and Amanda Waller 75th, 19th Lady (66.45).  New Marske Harriers Ladies won the Team Prize again.  This was the final counter for the Summer Fell Race Series (final positions to follow) with the first of the winter series being the Viking Chase on Sunday 26th September.
