On a very wet morning (Sunday 3rd Oct 2010) - Elliott Jackson ran a pb 35:20 to win his first 10k road race. A group of 4 got to the 1k mark and Elliott realised that they were not going to be quick enough so decided to push on by himself. At end of the 6k part of the figure of 8 course he was out of sight of the chasing runners and finished over a minute clear of the runner up.

Charlotte Ellis, guided by last year's winner Shaun O'Grady also ran a pb 46:18 . The both got soaked by the full force spray from a car driving through one of the many puddles that had gathered on the rain-soaked course. All agreed that the second part of course which was exposed to the winds was the cause of times being slower than had been hoped.
