Northern League @ Whitley Bay 7th July

When the results finally came through late last night – it seemed that New Marske had finished 5th in a very tight contest – but I spotted that a minor error had meant that Beth Long’s high jump score was not included. With less than 30 points separating 1st & 5th it moved us up one place to 4th (we also lost 10 points for not having a timekeeper or track judge otherwise we could have been 3rd!)

This now means we are equal 3-4 on 10 points, 2 above above the second relegation position – which without Beth’s points we would have been in!

We still need to pull out all the stops for the final (home) fixture on Saturday 3rd August – a task not made any easier with holiday commitments!
